Galleon: sailing megayacht for 200 guests
American designer Steve Kozloff was inspired by the multi-deck sailing ships of the past. Its new concept includes not only the romance of the past, but also many modern amenities and technologies: indoor and outdoor pools, a large-scale basketball court and tennis court, a helicopter hangar and four submarines.
The Galleon Gigayacht is an incredible 160-meter sailing vessel with eight decks. Due to its impressive size, the sailboat can be used as a cruise ship for 200 guests, who will be served by 150 crew members, or 20 private residences can be simultaneously located on board. The designer also proposes a layout, which is calculated in such a way that the entire vessel will belong to one owner.
The upper deck offers guests a relaxation area with a luxurious bar and a large swimming pool measuring 22 x 10 meters. Another indoor pool, 14 meters long and 8 meters wide, is located on the bridge. They both feature an automatic hard canopy that can be sealed to prevent water spills during a storm. Two more pools on the bow decks are connected by a water slide.
Lovers of a healthy lifestyle were also not left without attention. For those who cannot imagine their holiday without sports, Galleon will offer an indoor sports center with a basketball court, tennis court and four handball courts. And even if this seems not enough, on board it will be possible to walk in the park, go to a cafe or pub, and also spend an evening in a theater, restaurant or other recreation area.
Galleon has four full-deck garages for six high-speed tenders, four U-Boat Worx NEMOs, six RIBs and 21 jet skis. In addition, there are 12 lifeboats on board for the crew and guests, each with a capacity of up to 30 people. Each garage is equipped with a system for launching and lifting boats into the water, and two taps can be used for other water toys. On the territory of a completely closed hangar with an area of 450 m2, 10 helicopters can be accommodated at once, and there is also a repair shop. It is known that this is not the first futuristic project of this designer.
