Ferretti Group sensations in Miami

This year, the Ferretti Group has chosen the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show as the exclusive venue for the US premiere of the Riva 68′ Diable and Ferretti Yachts 500. Numerous new launches have also been announced.
One of the most important events, which was much talked about at the press conference of the Ferretti Group in Miami, was the presentation of the new Pershing GTX lineup. The bold concept will allow the brand to revolutionize the world of sports yachts and set new standards in pleasure yachts. The first model in this line will be the Pershing GTX116.
In addition, the name of the shipyard’s new flagship Riva 130′ Bellissima, which is being built at the shipyard in La Spezia, has been revealed. Major renovations have recently been completed there and production of Riva models from 76 to 130 feet is based.
Wally also announced projects: the 17m Wallypower58 cruiser and the fully custom sailing yacht Wally101.
Also at the exhibition, an innovative technology was presented, which will soon appear on the yachts of the Ferretti Group. Collision and grounding are the two biggest problems for captains and crew. To improve safety, the shipyard announced the introduction of the Watchit system. It was created and patented by the Israeli company Aqua Marina Tech, which develops advanced technological solutions to save lives on the high seas. Watchit is designed to alert captains to all hazards on the water, including the risk of collision. It processes data from existing on-board sensors in parallel with map data using artificial intelligence and automatic algorithms. The program constantly assesses collision risks and issues warnings in real time.
“Safety, meaning peace of mind and relaxation, is one of the keys to the success of our yachts. Watchit is an innovative system that will be used exclusively on Ferretti Group yachts,” said Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO. “With this new technology, the owners, captains and crew of our yachts know they can expect an unprecedented level of safety.”
