Riva та Bang & Olufsen: Perfection in Every Wave

Bang & Olufsen and Riva team up to create the ultimate in-flight audio system. Sharing a tradition of absolute craftsmanship and a passion for delivering unforgettable experiences, Bang & Olufsen and Riva are partnering to breathe life into a new project that will lead to the creation of an unprecedented in-flight audio system – the Beosound A5 and Beosound 2 Riva Edition speakers.

The partnership builds on the craftsmanship, performance and design heritage of the two brands, combining iconic Bang & Olufsen products with the beauty and style of Riva. Riva is at the forefront of global marine engineering, and Bang & Olufsen has been a leader in luxury audio for nearly a century, revolutionizing the industry with its masterful combination of sonic power, timeless design and expert craftsmanship.

“Riva and Bang & Olufsen share the same passion for the best in manufacturing, design and excellence. Together, we want to create two exceptional products using outstanding craftsmanship. It has been a lot of fun to work on this project and I would like to thank our teams in Struer and Sarnico for creating a memorable product,” said Bang & Olufsen CEO Christian Thear.

The Beosound A5 is a portable work of art in deep blue aluminum, wrapped in exquisite mahogany and maple veneer. Its elegant, understated appearance hides powerful sound. The Beosound A5 multimedia speaker with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features up to 12 hours of battery life and the ability to wirelessly charge your smartphone. Structurally, the new product is an active acoustic system with a 360-degree directivity pattern, which is provided by four emitters driven by four amplifiers with a total power of 280 watts. The set of speakers includes a 130 mm LF driver, two 50 mm midrange emitters and one 20 mm tweeter.

Bang & Olufsen Beosound 2 is an acoustic system that will allow you to enjoy high-quality sound that will fill the entire room. Equipped with active space compensation technology, which allows the acoustic map to determine the size of the room and use a filter to improve the sound depending on the location.

The body of this speaker is made of high-quality aluminum with incredible attention to detail. It also provides excellent acoustic properties due to the rigidity of the material and a seamless surface, which eliminates any sound distortion.

The upper part of the speaker acts as a minimalist control panel. Simply touch one of the four buttons to launch your favorite radio station or playlist, turn the wheel to adjust the volume, and touch the arrows to change tracks. The speaker is equipped with a built-in proximity sensor, which activates the control panel backlight when your hand approaches the touch panel.

Crystal clear sound, instantly recognizable style, high technology – when two brands with such a high reputation as the Italian Riva Yacht and the Danish Bang & Olufsen come together, you expect a lot from their collaboration.
