Cannes Yachting Festival 2024. Grand premieres
From September 10 to 15 this year, Cannes will host one of the most important events in the yachting industry, the Cannes Yachting Festival. Most European shipyards prepare their world premieres for this event. This year the organizers promise to surprise the visitors with with the diversity of a large number of yachting companies – almost 800 yachts from 5 to 50 meters long are announced to be on display. These are both sailing and motor boats; monohulls and multihulls, rigid or semi-rigid hulls; there is something for every interested yacht enthusiast.
One of the most exciting additions to the 2024 Festival is the creation of a new marina for powerboats from 8 meters in length. Located in the Port of Canto, this extensive area covers more than 1,700 m² and includes more than 300 linear meters of berth, which allows for the accommodation of up to 170 boats. Of these, 140 will be in the water and boats smaller than 8 meters (about 30) will be on land. Visitors will find boats and brands that are usually exhibited on the Quai Max Laubeuf, an area that is inaccessible due to the works. This is the first such experience for the Cannes Yachting festival to have boats of this size on the water! There will also be a whole range of outboard motors on display, which to give a complete overview of the latest innovations in this category.
Located in the heart of the city, along the Croisette, this port is one of the oldest on the Côte d’Azur and a must-see in Cannes. Cannes. Every year, this place becomes a showcase for prestigious boats presented by the world’s major shipyards. The Old Port brings together more than 350 monohull, multihull, rigid-hull or semi-rigid-hull boats on the water; the best of the best new motor boats from 10 to 45 meters in length, represented by the biggest names in French and international yachting. On land, the shipyards share berths with equipment manufacturers and service companies whose activities are mainly focused on the powerboat industry.
PORT CANTO
On the opposite side of the Croisette is Port Canto, which is the second port in Cannes. For the past few years, a sailing zone has been placed here. This year, the organizers have added a sailing zone for motorboats ≤ 12-13m in length. Large used yachts and stands with water toys are also expected to be placed here. The growing “toys” sector has become a must-have equipment on yachts and bring great pleasure and excitement to those who use them! “Toys” are constantly evolving towards products with improved design, becoming more sporty, technical and environmentally friendly.
In addition, this year, for the first time, visitors will be able to take a full tour of the Port of Canto (i.e. a circular view +/- 2.5 km) to see nearly 340 vessels (120 new sailing vessels over 10 meters in length, 170 motorized vessels of 8 meters or more in length, and about 50 used large yachts from 24 meters), as well as many equipment manufacturers and service companies.
