Across the Atlantic, the highly anticipated 62nd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale (FLIBS) kicked off. It takes place this year from 27 to 31 October at the Bahia Mar Yacht Center.

Owned by the Marine Industry Association of South Florida (MIASF) and run by Informa Markets, FLIBS will continue to have the largest display of boats and related equipment in the United States.

With the unprecedented high demand for boat products and accessories, the 62nd annual FLIBS will provide an opportunity for consumers and exhibitors to meet face to face and showcase the products in demand. More than 310,000 new powerboats were sold in 2020, according to the National Association of Marine Machinery Manufacturers – sales numbers the pleasure yachting industry has not seen since the 2008 crisis.

FLIBS is the driving force behind the maritime economy, Fort Lauderdale and Florida. The total economic impact of the event was $ 1.3 billion from the 2019 exhibition and sales of products worth more than $ 714 million in 5 days.

With over 80% of the show taking place outdoors, FLIBS will continue to offer safe outdoor experiences to attendees, visitors and the local community so that they can enjoy the greatest boat show on the seven seas.
