Gozzo 48 Cabin: Apreamare’s new flagship

The family-run Italian shipyard Apreamare has expanded its Gozzo yacht line with a flagship 15-metre model with a closed cockpit-saloon – Gozzo 48 Cabin.
The Gozzo 48 Cabin follows the first closed model Gozzo 38 Cabin, presented in 2024. The new yacht offers a high level of comfort, spacious exterior and interior spaces, as well as the famous Italian style and craftsmanship. Traditional Gozzo Sorrentino boats with a rounded stern are usually protected from the sun by an awning or a hardtop, but the shipyard decided to offer a closed version, which will be less dependent on the vagaries of the weather.
Cataldo Aprea’s concept was brought to life by the creative team of Marco Casali (Too Design), responsible for the style and design, Umberto Tagliavini (Marine Design), who developed the hull, and the shipyard’s technical bureau engineers.
A special emphasis on the Gozzo 48 Cabin is placed on the level of comfort on board, for which both external and internal spaces were designed. The cockpit has a transformable table with a corner sofa and a sunpad, and the seating area in the bow, connected to it by side passages, has a solarium and a small lounge.
The saloon has room for a cozy dining area and, according to the shipyard, the largest kitchen area for this class of yachts. Behind them, on the starboard side, is a two-seater helm station. Thanks to the glass doors, the interior space of the saloon easily connects with the cockpit.
On the lower deck, depending on the chosen configuration, there can be two or three cabins with two large bathrooms. A captain’s cabin with an entrance from the cockpit is optional.
In the interiors, designer Marco Casali skillfully uses natural light and mirrored surfaces to give volume to the spaces. The combination of wood, fabric and leather surfaces and details adds elegance and sophistication.
Umberto Tagliavini proposed a deep-V hull with variable geometry, promising good seaworthiness in various conditions, and Gozzo 48 Cabin will be equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS 700 or 800. A shaft version will be available on request.
“With the new Gozzo 48 Cabin, we are following the evolutionary path we began several years ago, the goal of which is to continually meet the growing needs of our owners. We do not aim for a flashy style or spectacular solutions. We aim more for a balance between innovation, comfort and respect for tradition – this is an integral part of the philosophy of our products,” comments Cataldo Aprea, president of the Apreamare shipyard.
