Riva 56′ Rivale: evolution continues
Riva yachts have always been distinguished by their beautiful sporty lines, and now they will be able to provide more comfort for the perfect vacation on the water. The functional hardtop for the 56’Rivale will appeal to those who want a spacious open deck but still be able to hide in the shade on a sunny day.
With this hardtop model, Riva continues the successful evolution of the Open line. The shipyard also took into account the successful experience of the previously presented 48’Dolceriva in the hard top version and the new project Riva 68’Diable. These hits and amazing achievements are the result of many years of collaboration between the Ferretti Group and Officina Italiana Design.
The version with the 56’Rivale hardtop impresses at first glance with its elegance and proportions. Meticulous attention to detail is combined with luxurious materials that have been hallmarks of the brand from the beginning. This is polished mahogany, stylish lacquered surfaces, as well as high quality leather, teak and stainless steel elements.
OPEN DECKS
Aft of the 56’Rivale is a tender garage for the Williams 325. When the swim platform is electrically lowered to water level, it exposes steps in the hull that help to get in and out of the water comfortably. The aft cockpit is equipped with a large sun mattress, followed by a lounge with spacious sofas, an L-shaped sofa and a teak table on the port side. In the bow there is a second sun mattress with an adjustable backrest. All sofas and sunbeds, as well as chairs near the helm, are finished in white Morbern leather and ocher leather from the Prodigy collection.
In the central part of the boat there is a control post, which is equipped with sensor control, monitoring and navigation systems, including the MAN-Boening engine management system. The open kitchen area behind the wheelhouse is equipped with a refrigerator, icemaker, grill and sink, and there is also a closet with bar equipment and appliances for at least six people.
The main innovation is a black hardtop with carbon fiber details, which extends over the entire center of the yacht and protects the recreation areas from the sun or bad weather. Steel inserts on both sides serve as handrails, and an optional air conditioning system is integrated into the tops. There are also optional bimini tops on board that can be pulled over the open areas of the boat to create a single covered space from bow to stern.
INTERIOR SPACES
In the interiors of the updated Riva 56’Rivale, mirrored surfaces alternate with polished mahogany, dark lacquer finishes and leather inserts. The kitchen with sink and work surfaces on the port side is visually hidden thanks to mirrored partitions, behind which also an integrated TV is hidden. A glass sunroof and large hull portholes flood the space with natural light.
The living area includes three cabins. The master stateroom is to starboard, the VIP stateroom is forward and both have their own bathrooms. There is also a compact double suite with beds on top of each other and a small wardrobe that can be replaced by a crew cabin on request. A separate daytime toilet with direct access from the lounge will be available to both suite guests and will make the yacht as comfortable as possible for day cruises with a large number of guests on board. The bathrooms are decorated with wood, light and dark lacquer, mirrored surfaces and white corian.
MOTORIZATION AND TECHNOLOGIES
The first Riva 56’Rivale hardtop hull is finished in Riva Shark Gray with black details and is already cruising the coastal waters of the Atlantic. She is also powered by a pair of 1200 hp MAN engines with which the yacht reaches a top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 34 knots. In the standard version, the boat is equipped with a pair of 1000 hp MAN engines, which allow for maximum and cruise speeds of 34 and 28 knots, respectively. The Seakeeper gyro is installed as an option.
