Record-breaking Riva70 Metri. Majestic elegance

The shipyard announces the construction of the first 70-meter yacht Riva 70 Metri at the Ferretti Group Superyachts Yard. This will be the largest flagship Riva superyacht in the history of the brand that has made modern shipping elegant. Riva 70 Metri will be built at the futuristic shipyard in Ancona, covering almost 80,000 square meters, where all boats from 50 to 90 meters were built. (Ancona is the headquarters of the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard. It is currently where superyachts in steel and aluminum are built for the Pershing, CRN and Custom Line brands).
This superyacht project stands out for its cutting-edge technological solutions, sophisticated design and unprecedented levels of comfort. With innovative volumes and elegant lines, the Riva 70Metri with steel hull and aluminium superstructure is a boat of incomparable beauty. It will combine excellent performance and, above all, environmental sustainability. Riva 70Metri will be equipped with a latest-generation hybrid propulsion system with heat recovery technology and a PTO-PTI system, positioning itself as a cutting-edge example of eco-friendly marine design. Particular attention has been paid to the acoustic comfort on board, thanks to the use of innovative solutions to reduce noise and vibration levels and improve the stabilization system.
The future owner, a client and great fan of the Riva brand, worked together with a team of planners and designers to create the superyacht of his dreams, which, like all Rivas in recent history, is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the Product Strategy Committee chaired by engineer Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.
“The Riva 70Metri will be the most exciting yacht of the coming years. It is a superyacht of timeless beauty that will introduce the astonishing universe of Riva styles and details in an unprecedented dimension, combining it with the most advanced technologies in terms of navigation and environmental sustainability”, said lawyer Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group. “This impressive boat is a manifesto of style, design and innovation that will lead the fantastic fleet of new Riva masterpieces with majestic elegance.”
“The owner, a refined and extremely selective person, had a very specific idea: to build a timeless boat with classic lines and a green soul, to sail while respecting the sea around us. He was impressed by the Riva 50Metri and dreamed of a project inspired by this boat, dominated by an aesthetic that goes beyond fashion and market logic, which often influence the creation of a new product. “We took on the job with enthusiasm and conviction because these values represent the studio’s DNA and are part of our design philosophy,” commented Mauro Micheli, Chief Designer, and Sergio Beretta, General Manager of Officina Italiana Design.
