Rossinavi ‘Florentia’. Florentine Modern
The Viareggio-based Rossinavi shipyard has just completed work on a new 52m yacht ‘Florentia’. It has a steel full displacement hull and an aluminum superstructure. Powered by a pair of CAT 3512E diesel engines, the vessel has a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising range of 6,500 nautical miles.
The ‘Florentia’ is a vessel that combines functionality, ergonomics and elegant style. Its sinuous and graceful lines only underline the timeless character of the exterior. The exterior of this custom vessel was designed by Studio Vafiadis, while Italian architect Carlo Colombo and the A ++ design bureau took care of the interior design and finishes. “Florentia is like a gem that only gets more beautiful over the years, where classic forms are complemented by modern details,” says Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis. Key areas include the main deck with an exquisite saloon and master suite, an upper deck with a multi-functional skylight, a flydeck with a VIP cabin and a lower deck with living areas for guests and crew.
The ‘Florentia’ aboard has a homely atmosphere and all areas are carefully thought out and very spacious to make guests feel comfortable. The inspiration for the interior design was drawn from natural forms and phenomena. For example, soft lines of furniture and neutral colors of textiles – this is the ocean, which is designed to tune in to peace and relaxation. The height of the ceilings in the interiors reaches 2.35 meters.
The main salon with dining area is a stately single space, formally divided only by a small dresser for crockery. The main social area is located closer to the stern and is equipped with figured sofas that “accompany” guests to the very center of the deck. There is a staircase in the lobby on the main deck, which is the “heart” of the boat and serves for easy movement between all levels. Its sculptural railings are enticingly intertwined in a spiral shape. And the combination of warm colors, leather and light wood completes the feeling of comfort. The upper deck is a fairly large entertainment area. This multifunctional space can be transformed into a cinema thanks to a projector that emerges from the ceiling.
The ‘Florentia’ can accommodate up to 12 guests. The owner’s suite on the main deck has a private balcony as well as two dressing rooms. Directly above the large bed with a fabric headboard, there is a mirrored art object designed to reflect the sun’s rays and sea waves, creating a pleasant glow in this space. Two symmetrical cabins with king-size bed and two more cabins with double beds are located on the lower deck. On the same deck there is a crew compartment with a kitchen, a wardroom and a laundry room for 11 people.
The flydeck lobby provides access to the VIP suite. This cabin is unique, if only due to its unusual location. She can offer a private bathroom, private balcony at the bow and access to the Jacuzzi on the open deck at the stern.
