Sportfishing superyacht of Royal Huisman
Vripack Yacht Design and Royal Huisman have unveiled a six-deck megayacht for sportfishing! The Project 406, 52 meters long, may become not only the largest, but also the first luxury sportsfisher in the world.
Vripack Yacht Design has developed both the exterior and interior design and the naval architecture of the Project 406. It was created for the sport fishing enthusiast who appreciates the comfort of a superyacht at the same time. This vessel has a typical fishing yacht profile. For example, a wide, elongated bow with raised bulwarks smoothly taper off to the stern, and a “tower” with a control post allows you to spot fish from afar. Along with this, the Project 406 has the exquisite interiors and entertainment found only on board a superyacht. For example, during the day, the skylawn serves as a haven for anglers, and in the evening it turns into a luxurious penthouse on the water. Here you can brighten up the wait before serving dishes from freshly caught fish prepared by the chef.
Royal Huisman will be responsible for the ship’s construction. The hull and superstructure made of aluminum will provide the necessary strength and stability, but at the same time they will provide a low weight of the structure, which is important for sport fishing. Also, a sportsfisher requires not only maneuverability, but also complex onboard structures and equipment. As yachts of this type target large catch on the high seas, such as swordfish or marlin, the Project 406 will be equipped with equipment to monitor schools of fish. The launch is expected in 2023.
