The anticipation in the luxury yacht industry is palpable as the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 approaches, set to take place from September 25-28. This year, all eyes will be on the world debut of the wallywind110, a groundbreaking performance cruiser marking a significant milestone in Wally’s illustrious history. This debut coincides with the 30th anniversary of the brand, underscoring Wally’s sustained influence and innovation in the sailing superyacht sector.

The wallywind110 is not just a new yacht; it’s the first in the new wallywind performance cruiser range, which will eventually include the wallywind130 and the wallywind150. This launch signifies Wally’s continuous evolution, especially as this is the first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of the Ferretti Group. The project began in 2022 and has reached fruition with the yacht’s launch in June 2024.

The wallywind110 is designed to captivate with its all-carbon hull, ensuring superior strength and lightweight performance. Its aesthetic appeal is enhanced by a striking metallic paint with blue reflections that subtly change with the light. The yacht’s impressive technical specifications, such as the 6.95m telescopic keel, carbon fibre twin rudders, and a towering 48m Hall Spars rig, affirm Wally’s commitment to high performance.

The design of the wallywind110 epitomizes the seamless blend of comfort and performance that Wally is renowned for. The naval architecture by judel/vrolijk & co is expertly integrated with the interior and exterior designs crafted by Wally’s design team, led by Luca Bassani, in collaboration with the Santa Maria Magnolfi studio. This collaboration has resulted in a yacht that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally superior.

One of the standout features of the wallywind110 is its expansive cockpit, comparable to those found on the most modern 60m sailing superyachts. This 80 square meter space is designed for relaxation and socialization, completely free of technical equipment, thus maximizing comfort. The cockpit includes several sofas, sunbeds, and seating areas, providing ample room for guests to enjoy the outdoor environment. Additionally, there is a lounge on the “sea terrace” and another on the foredeck, offering versatile spaces for leisure.

Below deck, the wallywind110 continues to impress with its thoughtfully planned spaces. The engine room is strategically placed below the saloon, creating an open and light-filled interior. Natural light floods the dining area, lounge, and even the office through hull windows, deckhouse windows, and a skylight, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and comfort. This design ensures that the yacht’s interior is as inviting and luxurious as its exterior.

As the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 draws near, the world awaits the debut of the wallywind110 with great anticipation. This yacht is a remarkable addition to Wally’s fleet, embodying the brand’s core values of performance, innovation, and luxury. With its debut marking a significant milestone in Wally’s history, the wallywind110 is set to captivate enthusiasts and set new standards in the luxury sailing yacht market. Whether it’s the groundbreaking design, superior engineering, or the luxurious comfort, the wallywind110 is poised to make a lasting impression at the show and beyond.
