Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. A sense of freedom and elegance
Every year, Cannes hosts a grand event that turns the city into the world capital of yachting for six days. And this is, of course, the Cannes Yachting Festival. Since 1977, the organizers have been creating a real celebration of craftsmanship and art of living for professionals and all those who love the sea. This iconic event, taking place against the picturesque backdrop of the French Riviera, embodies the essence of maritime luxury and technological progress, promising all participants an unrivaled experience.
In 2025, the largest yacht show in Europe will be held from September 9 to 14 between Vieux Port (new yachts) and Port Canto (sailing yachts and used yachts for sale and charter). 650 exhibitors have announced the participation of 700 vessels from 5 to 50 meters in length. All types of boats will be presented, from inflatables with a hard landing and electric cruisers to dayboats and superyachts.
In order to accommodate all the participants and visitors, and to make the exhibition more understandable and logical, a few years ago the exhibition was divided into two parts. The first is located in the “Old Port” (Vieux Port), and the second in Port Canto. The organizers explain the “sectorization” by the need to optimize the visitor experience and highlight the specific features of each category of boats and equipment. This year they promise a number of “improvements and expansions”.
The historic venue of the festival Vieux Port will present about 360 motor yachts from 12 to 45 meters in length, including monohulls and multihulls. It will also host companies engaged in the production of equipment and offering various services.
On the piers, visitors will find a tender area, a motorists’ area, the Power Cat Village with 24 catamarans located on Quai Max Laubeuf and the Village des Equipements (equipment and outfitting area) occupying most of the Pantiero pier.
In Port Canto, around 125 new sailing boats, both monohull and multihull, with an average length of 17 metres, will be on display. Visitors will also find a water toy area and the Power Boat Marina, where around 180 boats under 13 metres will be gathered together. Part of Port Canto will be given over to the brokerage sector – the organisers promise at least 45 yachts between 25 and 55 metres in length.
The program includes world-class premieres from shipyards eager to present their latest projects. Here are the yachts not to miss at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025:
1. RJ 155
Shipyard: Cantiere delle Marche (Italy)
Length: 46.9
The RJ 155 is the flagship of the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche and the largest of the premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. This steel expedition yacht has a cruising range of over 5,000 nautical miles. The RJ line was designed by Francesco Paszkowski, and the distinctive features of the model are the extended overhangs of the decks and spacious aft terraces. The hull architecture is the work of Pierluigi Ausonio, while the interior is by Achille Salvagni. The yacht accommodates 12 guests in five cabins and is an evolution of the RJ 130, launched in 2021 as RJ (new name ‘Nuri’).
2. M/Y ‘Singolare’
Shipyard: Tankoa Yachts (Italy)
Length: 45m
M/Y ‘Singolare’, will be the largest yacht to debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. She follows in the footsteps of Go, which was unveiled at the same time last year. She is the second yacht in Tankoa’s T450 series, designed by Italian studio Giorgio M. Cassetta and redesigned to suit the lifestyle of her future owner. The interior design was created by Brazilian architect Deborah Aguiar. The yacht’s distinctive design feature is its hardtop, which creates a fully enclosed sundeck that can be transformed into a climate-controlled saloon.
3. M/Y ‘Big Naan’
Shipyard: Columbus Yachts (Italy)
Length: 42 m
The first yacht in the Columbus Crossover 42 series, named ‘Big Naan’, was sold to an American owner in 2023. Italian studio Hydro Tec is responsible for the model’s “modern and powerful” exterior, while Milanese studio Hot Lab designed its interior.
Key features of the Columbus Crossover 42, which can accommodate up to 11 guests in four cabins (three VIP cabins and one double convertible into a triple) on the lower deck and a full-beam owner’s cabin on the main deck, include a garage for a large tender serviced by a crane and a 17 square metre swimming pool surrounded by relaxation areas.
Big Naan is powered by two Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines producing 742 kW each. The yacht has a maximum speed of over 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. At 10 knots, the range is over 5,500 miles.
4. M/Y ‘ANDIAMO’
Shipyard: Sanlorenzo (Italy)
Length: 40.7 m
‘Andiamo’ is the first model of the SD132 series, the largest composite semi-displacement yacht from the shipyard. The interior and exterior design is by Zuccon International Project, with naval architecture by Sanlorenzo. It features an impressive 420 GT volume, a beach club that flows seamlessly into the cockpit, and side terraces that open up to create spacious promenade areas with panoramic ocean views.
5. RIVA 112 DOLCEVITA SUPER
Shipyard: Riva (Italy)
Length: 34.4 m
Riva presents the new superyacht Riva 112 Dolcevita Super with a “radical restyling”. The first hull is already in the water and is preparing for its debut. The design was developed by the Italian studio and the exclusive bureau Officina Italiana Design, featuring a sporty, energetic profile, typical of all Riva yachts with a flybridge. The model’s main and unique offering is the outdoor lounge areas, typical of a beach club, where a super-low 35 square metre platform provides easy access to the ocean.
The central part of the beach club features a very large sun lounger, behind which is a ventilated storage space for two SeaBob inflatables, while a spacious garage under the sundeck can accommodate a tender and a jet ski. Another important outdoor space is the cockpit, with two large sofas surrounded by freestanding furniture, as well as a large sundeck and a sofa in the bow (with the possibility of installing a Jacuzzi).
6. RIVA 56′ CAPRI
Shipyard: Riva (Italy)
Length 17.27 m
In addition to the Riva 112 Dolcevita Super, Riva is preparing to premiere a new model from the open yacht line – the elegant 56’ Capri (17.27 m). A wonderful option for a southern resort, to rush at a speed of 37 h, feeling the southern breeze. Details are not yet announced.
7. Ferretti 940
Shipyard: Ferretti Yachts (Italy)
Length: 29 m
The design of the Ferretti 940 was already presented at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, and now this sports yacht is returning for its grand debut. The Ferretti 940, 29 metres long and 6.8 metres wide, has been recognised for its unique layout (five cabins, 10 berths), multi-functional exterior spaces and impressive panoramic glazing. The exterior and interiors were designed by long-standing project partners Filippo Salvetti and IdeaeITALIA.
8. MAJESTY 100 TERRACE
Shipyard: Majesty Yachts (UAE)
Length: 32.3 m
The main feature of the Majesty 100 Terrace is its numerous terraces and balconies, as well as the owner’s cabin with panoramic windows and its own private space in the bow. The upper deck features a luxurious sky lounge and wheelhouse, while the lower deck includes spacious cabins with en-suite bathrooms. The sundeck has skylights, a Jacuzzi, sun loungers and a dining area, allowing you to comfortably spend the whole day there. The aft main deck is equipped with folding bulwarks. For safety, when they are deployed, they are framed by guard rails. Above the aft is a sun pad that extends just above the transom, which folds down to reveal another seating/sunbathing area. Situated right at the water’s edge, it becomes a cozy lounging area.
