Palladino Yacht Design has developed a bold mega-explorer concept, ‘Wild One’
This 110-meter expedition yacht is distinguished not only by its impressive size but also by its original architecture.
According to the developers at the Italian studio Palladino Yacht Design, their creation, ‘Wild One’, will be easily adaptable to various climate conditions and position itself as a vessel with unlimited cruising range.
The megayacht has a very futuristic appearance. The designers gave it an athletic appearance with a rounded, reverse-raked bow and two superstructures, yet these forms do not appear heavy. The graceful side pylons of the superstructure, the radar mast reminiscent of an art object, and the multi-level decks with almost continuous glazing skillfully offset the massiveness of the 110-meter hull, creating a dynamic interplay of lines and volumes.
The most interesting thing is that the design initially included two configurations: “summer” and “winter.” In the warm-climate version, the upper observation deck of ‘Wild One’ features two large purple oval structures. These aren’t decorations, but rather motorized sun loungers that slide along tracks at the touch of a button, facing the sun, providing guests with an excellent view. In cold-climate waters, the observation deck can be completely closed: a roof automatically slides down from above, revealing curved glazing on the sides.
Incidentally, the open deck amidships follows a similar design. A mobile roof and retractable panels around the perimeter create a sheltered lounge area ideal for relaxing even in cold climates.
‘Wild One’ is planned to feature two swimming pools, a helipad, and a very large garage, capable of accommodating not only auxiliary vessels and watersports equipment, but also a collection of land vehicles, including sports cars, SUVs, and ATVs. The aft deck will house a beach club with an adjacent wellness center, including a sauna, yoga studio, gym, and bar.
Guests will be able to enjoy a lively leisure time in the cinema, billiards room with a TV wall, cigar room, and wine cellar.
The master suite in the forward section of the yacht is a unique highlight of the project. The architectural centerpiece is a two-deck lounge with enormous round windows. This spacious space can serve not only as a relaxation area, but also as a library and study, and with the doors to the adjacent private deck open, it transforms into a summer living room.
As Gregg Palladino, founder of Palladino Yacht Design, puts it, “This concept is distinguished by its innovative use of volumes, seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces, and the ability to satisfy both adventure and relaxation in equal measure.”
