CudaJet – underwater Jetpack
Imagine the feeling of weightlessness as you effortlessly glide through the water. The British company CudaJet has introduced a device that will allow you to experience such sensations. Wearing it as a backpack, a diver can reach speeds of up to three meters per second and stay in motion for up to 40 minutes.
Jetpacks are usually referred to as personal flying vehicles that lift a person into the air by jet propulsion. But the same method of transportation can also be used underwater.Underwater Jetpack will make you feel like a true underwater superhero, giving you the ability to zoom, spin, and perform thrilling manoeuvres with ease.
The CudaJet weighs 13.2 kg and attaches to a 1.5 to 1.7 kg vest. Jet propulsion underwater is accomplished by a water pump that sucks water in through the water intake at the top and expels it through two nozzles at the bottom of the backpack, producing 40 kg of thrust (speed of about 3 m/s).
The device is equipped with a wired handheld remote control that allows you to change the speed and control the charge level. A full charge of the lithium battery is sufficient for up to 40 minutes of operation. The device is rated for depths of up to 40 meters, which is impressive considering the water pressure at that level. The basic version of the CudaJet is already available from the online store. The price starts at $18,000.
