Jaguar Type 00 Concept Car Debuts in Paris

A new concept car from British manufacturer Jaguar made an unexpected appearance on the roads of the city during Paris Fashion Week. Naturally, the Type 00 caught the attention of passersby with its color. The matte blue exterior almost absorbs light. There are not many external details on this car and, depending on the angle of view, you can see little. Official photos from Jaguar showed a large, blocky concept in stylized images. To the untrained eye, one might think that the cars are not real, but computer models. It turns out that in real life, it looks exactly the same.
The two-door concept appeared in a new color called French Ultramarine, a sharp contrast to the bright Miami Pink and softer London Blue that were shown earlier. The new prototype retained the lower part of the body with silver accents and the same alloy wheels.
The Jaguar Type 00 carefully drove through the streets before stopping at the fashion week venue. The butterfly doors slowly lifted to reveal a light, minimalist two-seater cabin.
Meanwhile, Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover has revealed new details about the upcoming all-electric Gran Turismo (GT). The four-door saloon will be based on the Type 00 concept, but the design will not compromise on safety, performance or aerodynamics.
All future Jaguar models will ride on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture, which is designed exclusively for electric vehicles. For the production GT, the company is targeting a range of up to 430 miles (692 km) and a maximum power of 786 hp (700 kW).
Following the debut of the four-door saloon in late 2025, Jaguar will expand its lineup with two more models. One is expected to be another saloon and the other an SUV.
