Enjoy the sound and a complete check-up of the body

Scientists from the German Karlsruhe Institute of Technology have developed and released the OpenEarable 2.0 headphone model, which is capable of diagnosing the state of your body while listening to music. They can measure the level of heart activity, the level of oxygen in the blood and about 30 other indicators.
The developers note that in addition to using these headphones in the medical industry, they can also be used to maintain your own safety in the workplace or analyze sports results. The integration of OpenEarable 2.0 with a smartphone not only provides high-quality stereo sound, but also, with the help of a special program installed in the gadget, processes and displays information collected by sensors regarding the state of the body. However, this model of headphones is only compatible with Android smartphones using the Bluetooth LE Audio protocol, which is not supported by iPhone models.
The earbuds have two infrasound/ultrasound microphones, one of which remains outside the ear, and the other is directed inside the ear. These microphones are capable of monitoring heart function and identifying the user. The built-in bone conduction microphone can detect when the user is eating, speaking softly, or grinding their teeth during sleep. In addition, the earbuds include a pulse oximeter to monitor the oxygen levels in the blood.
It can also be used to detect sleep apnea and measure stress levels or energy loss. There is also an optical sensor for measuring body temperature. Among other things, a pressure sensor and a 9-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit) that tracks breathing rate and workout progress. One 45-minute USB charge each earbud’s battery lasts up to eight hours, depending on use.
The pre-order price of the headphones is about $2,566, which is roughly comparable to 10 Apple AirPods Pro-2 or two iPhone-16 Pro. OpenEarable 2.0 is equipped with sensors to measure more than 30 physiological parameters.
