PROJECT VELOR 75M by Nauta Design. Patio on the ocean
Italian studio Nauta Design has unveiled a 75.1 m hybrid superyacht concept called ‘Velor’. This four-deck, 1,700GT vessel is designed to provide the comfort and functionality of a five-deck yacht. The project was developed in collaboration with naval architect Francesco Rogantino of Studio Names.
Project ‘Velor’ reflects Nauta Design’s signature style with clean horizontal lines and a balance of organic and geometric forms. The design is based on the continuity of interior and exterior spaces and luxurious sea views from all directions. This is achieved, in particular, by spacious decks, large glass panels and multi-tiered staircases. The aft deck overhangs are cut out to allow light to pass through, creating a pergola effect over the spaces below.
Distinguishing features include an open-air beach club, or “water patio”, at the aft end of the lower deck. From here, guests can access the spa and wellness area and then proceed to their cabins.
One of the key innovations is the engine room, located below the lower deck. This arrangement of the technical rooms allowed for the most efficient use of space.
Also worth noting is the multifunctional sundeck with a children’s area, a swimming pool, as well as areas for sunbathing and stargazing. Another open area with a swimming pool is located at the bow of the main deck and can be used as a private deck with access from the master cabin or as a public relaxation area.
The yacht has a diesel-electric propulsion system with four generators: two of 1000 kW and two of 500 kW. The width of ‘Velor’ is 13 meters, and the draft is 3.5 meters.
This project combines elegance and innovation, privacy and open spaces, luxury and practicality. ‘Velor’ 75m places the quality of human experience at the centre of its design: a project designed to withstand the passage of time and capable of maintaining its charm and balance over the years.
