Admiral 45 м M/Y «Flying Dragon»
Having become one of the main novelties in the Admiral last Monaco Yacht Show, the yacht «Flying Dragon» embodies at once two important shipyard concept: rapid memorable body cabin with panoramic windows and specific architectural elements related to the traditions of the old series Regale, which is a new look and presents «Flying Dragon».
In recent years, Admiral (The Italian Sea Group) became one of the major European newsmakers and was able to present several interesting projects in different categories. Motor yacht «Flying Dragon» – a modern personification of the series Regale 45, in which the lungs are supplied planing hull made entirely of aluminum.
All architectural and design work carried out by Luca Dini Design, together with Admiral Centro Stile. Obviously, the model is ready for cruising in the warm waters only: Planning a maximum open decks and cabins and saloons are designed with the expectation of an abundance of sunlight. The challenge in developing the panoramic glazing was simple: staying inside, guests should not leave the sense of presence on the open deck.
To manage the boat design concept has been applied Raised Pilot House with high location of the navigation bridge to separate the intermediate level. This architecture is very popular for boats up to 35 meters, but for greater lengths – a rarity.
From the bridge, you can easily upgrade to a spacious sandek to maximize open space. Toward the stern is set to medium sized hardtop Fine inclined supports, designed to emphasize even more sporty style housing. Upper helm 45-meter yachts are not often seen, but «Flying Dragon» and it is intended to at least greatly facilitate mooring. General planning sandeka responsible Mediterranean tradition of recent years: the mini-pool with various functions, a sunbathing area with large sun loungers and deck chairs. At the same time in the shade hardtop are built bar and a large wooden table, in perfect harmony with teak covering the entire deck, including a comfortable level for the approach to the basin.
Due to the 8.6-meter-wide area of the body of the cockpit on the main deck has created a comfortable outdoor lounge: soft lounger with a modern water-resistant coating. A tree made of low coffee tables and chairs allow you to enjoy a snack or an aperitif, without going to the salon.
All this space, including adjoining the bar with the appropriate equipment and the line-up, the back of sandeka protected and not subject rippling weather.
While working on the design of interior spaces «Flying Dragon» the owner several times to make a significant change, and as a result the interior was no less memorable than the architecture body. Style has absorbed a variety of modern trends and different interesting synthesis of European minimalism and catchy material associated with the culture of the peoples of East and Africa. Interestingly, the initial focus on the simple light tone was significantly adjusted in the direction of more exotic materials. Inside, the main design elements have become oak flooring and glossy surfaces Makassar. Silk carpets are making special elegance, along with infrequent iguana skin, moray eels, as well as nubuck. Also polished stainless steel and safety glass used bronze and a whole ensemble of various kinds of natural stones. With the help of LED lighting artistically highlighted parts of white and red onyx, light and black marble.
Such a complex combination of materials made it possible to saturate the interior a special Euro-Asian style and effectively divide the functional areas: a lounge with upholstered furniture – aft and a dining area with 10 people served on the table – in the central part. On each side of the large glass panels are moved apart, revealing a maximum unity with the marine environment.
Repeatedly correct the work and plan of the master cabin in front of the main deck. And as a result of the owner’s suite got a very wide functional orientation. Initially it was assumed small area at the entrance was transformed into an office, bathroom and toilet room. This greatly increased the space.
To starboard is a folding balcony with electrohydraulic control. Its area is sufficient to set the coffee table and a couple chairs. In the front part of the cabin the designers were able to accommodate not only the separate dressing rooms, a small sauna and a steam room.
Cabin guests are represented in the central area of the lower deck. Their layout is traditional for modern yachts and «Flying Dragon» in this sense corresponds to the general trends: two cabins with large double beds are located closer to the stern, and the second pair of cabins distinguishable due beds. All cabins are beautifully lit, connected to life-support systems Active and have private bathrooms and dressing rooms.
The front part of the lower deck is used for recreation team, but entirely separate from the guest areas. According to numerous staircases and passageways can move in most offices, it is not in contact with the guests of the yacht. For a separate captain’s cabin, which borders with three double cabins, one of which can be equipped with additional sleeping-month volume. Close equipped laundry room and saloon.
As an important feature of «Flying Dragon» plan must specify the stern with the addition of a beach club. This solution is not unique, but it is always seen as a nice bonus. Teak and all the necessary technical adaptations of this club allows you to enjoy the atmosphere at the sea edge. At the same time, the garage has not lost in the separation of functionality and is ready for operation of the 5-meter tender, the descent into the water on the starboard side.
«Flying Dragon» – not the fastest boat in its class, but the maximum 27 knots seem sufficient only to fans of extreme sports. Emphasis was placed primarily still in the comfort. For this purpose, even were spe-cially selected three engines MTU with hydrojet water cannons. It is expected that this arrangement is to improve power handling and reduce noise. As a consequence, it is comfort and relaxation in the warm waters will be the main operating area for «Flying Dragon» and the whole yachting series Regale.
