Mulder Favorite 1500. Continuity of generations

The Dutch company Mulder – a family-owned shipyard in the third generation. For over 70 years, she is engaged in the construction of semi-custom and custom boats in traditional Nordic style. His popularity in Europe and America, she won thanks to unprecedented quality, superb nautical performance and reliability. Her new ship Favorite 1500 – another confirmation of the high reputation of the shipyard.

In 2010, Mulder Shipyard has decided to re-breathe life into a successful series of boats of the last century, but only to replace a wooden building with a modern – aluminum. Initially Favorite 1500 has been designed for personal use Mulder family, but the boat has turned out so good that it immediately appreciated lovers measured rest on the water.

It was created in collaboration with Vripack Naval Architects and design offices Guido de Groot. Generally, Favourites Favorite 1500 – a striking example of the sea retro, sort of a lobster boat in the European manner. It has all the components of this classic shipbuilding: rounded and somewhat “snub” nose almost straight line sides, sloping feed, as well as the specific form of the bottom to reduce the water flow rate. This made it possible to reduce the release time in planing mode and increase the maximum speed.

If you look, it is already the 7th boat named ‘Summer’ from the updated Favorite line, but with each new body shipyard makes a list of major improvements. Although at first glance the changes that have occurred since 1500 Favorite, not immediately apparent, they are quite significant. The first refinement touched the body. Thanks to new materials, aluminum composite managed to do better by 10% and significantly increase the maximum speed.

Mulder – not a sports yacht, although its speed of 25 knots pleasantly surprised. Mulder Favorite 1500 is positioned as a day-cruiser, but in fairness it should be noted that the yacht is capable of more than just a one-day cruises. Indeed, there is everything you need for a comfortable stay: a full kitchen, large open cockpit, two guest cabins, saloon with dinettoy, bathroom with shower. Favorite Comfort 1500 is comparable with the atmosphere of a country house, and ‘Summer’ to this magnificence added floor heating in all rooms.

The aft cockpit is made in classical traditions lobster boat, but for lobster in the sea, of course, no one on it does not come out. Kitchen grown significantly in size and is located in the forward portion of the lower deck – in a place atypical for her. Everything is there for those who want to cook full meals even in the sea: a sink, microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.
