Marex 310 Sun Cruiser. Sunny cruise
What about a boat that has not really having to leave the shipyard, was immediately nominated for several prestigious awards – Best European Motorboat and Boat of the Year. And given that this is not the first Marex victory in such contests, perhaps, it is not just empty words. On the podium the new cruiser from Norway Marex 310 Sun Cruiser.
The first Marex 310 Sun Cruiser was shown to the public on a small “home” show in Oslo. 310 model – a complete reboot Sun Cruiser line. It is based on current trends and customer needs. Classical contours of the body with the Sport elements, rounded lifted her nose and flowing lines – thus saw a new shipyard “solar cruiser.”
The first version of Sun Cruiser boats appeared almost 30 years ago. During that time they have undergone several revisions, they were a major improvement, and made significant changes. But the main idea of which is the shipyard’s credo – it is an excellent organization of the upper deck, where the owner will spend most of the time. Indeed, today buyers want to see the boat, where you can spend time outdoors. Yes, and in all weather conditions – under the scorching sun, or, conversely, in the rain with gusts of wind. Since Marex shipyard is a family, then to the customer’s wishes here are especially cherished.
As a result, Cruiser embodies this concept perfectly. The first confirmation of this theory will appear as soon as you want to go up to 310 Sun Cruiser. After Marex has made a convenient lifting on board not only mooring lag – that is sideways, but when “parking” the stern. The next point – the presence of swim platform and two spacious lockers. The latter are not only allowed to keep on hand fenders, mooring lines and other necessary usefulness, without attracting attention, but at the same time perform the function of the benches.
The spacious cockpit is divided into two main parts: the control room and a dining area. Hardtop actually consists of two moving parts and can be completely opened, making the 310 the boat type Open, or recorded in several positions, providing the necessary level of shading. The rear of the cockpit completely closes the translucent plastic tent, which glides along the edge of hardtop above and below board fences. It is hidden in the racks that hold the roof, so the “curtain” is completely removed as unnecessary. In general – fast and easy!

The kitchen is located on the lower deck, is equipped with a sink, stove, storage for utensils and refrigerator 170 liters is located next to the passenger seat in the cabin. Then Marex added another interesting detail – the lower deck separated from the cockpit bulkhead fitting glass. The two guest cabins are equipped with double beds and filled with light from the large windows, they are also responsible for additional ventilation facilities. Although the height of the ceilings can hardly complain – in some parts of the boat, they account for almost 2 meters. The second cabin and the bed has smaller, but underneath there is a large niche for storage.
Between the two cabins is a great bathroom, it is really impressive for its size as for the 10-meter cruiser, and is equipped with a sink, toilet and shower.
In the standard version of the 310 Sun Cruiser driven by a diesel unit Volvo Penta D4 300 HP, which is ideal for small and calm waters, and for the troubled sea conditions.
