APREAMARE GOZZO. GUARANTEES OF THE PAST
This boat was presented as part of the event dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the Apreamare shipyard. It seemed that such mini-yachts would soon be gone in the skies, but it seems that the Italian manufacturer challenged. And I was not mistaken, having presented an ultramodern boat of Gozzo type called Apreamare Gozzo.
Apreamare Gozzo belongs to the category of pleasure boats intended for daily trips. However, you absolutely do not expect to meet on its board a full service day cruiser’a. Getting on the lower deck, you should immediately emphasize a few outstanding features: the height of the ceilings in the cabin, the competent planning of all areas and a sense of spaciousness even with such a modest boat size. The large kitchenette, which is located in the center of the lower deck, is fully equipped with all the necessary household appliances and has a folding table top.
The
As for the living space, on the Apreamare Gozzo can comfortably travel 4 people: in a large master suite in the bow of the boat and in the guest double-seat is closer to the stern. The bathroom is just one, but it strikes with its volume and size. There is a toilet, a large washbasin and a separate shower.
Calm colors, chosen for decoration, make it possible to create a very cozy interior, at the same time, due to numerous details, it does not look boring. Exquisite embroidery on textiles, a wash basin in the form of oak tubs, glossy kitchen facades – all this perfectly reflects the Italian style of life dolce vita.
The ancestors of boats such as gozo are considered to be fishing vessels that were widely distributed in Italy, especially in the region of Sorrento. Their recognizable lines are distinguished by their pointed nose and rounded stern with a specific platform. One of the strengths of such boats is the high speed in the planing mode due to the correctly selected propellers. Initially, Apreamare produced boats from wood, eventually began to work with fiberglass, to facilitate the body and achieve even higher speed capabilities. The
The new Apreamare Gozzo is a mix of traditions, innovations and, of course, the Italian passion for beautiful things in one enclosure. For example, the classic propeller has now been replaced by an innovative propulsion system, and Gozzo has become a full-fledged owner of a new generation of Garmin navigation. The
Gozzo was developed by the owner of the company Cataldo Aprea in conjunction with the designer Brunello Acampora, and has a length of 11 meters. Two powerful engines Volvo Penta D3 for 200 hp. each allow the boat to accelerate to 28 knots of maximum speed, or go cruising on 24 knots. There is also a single-engine version of Gozzo, for more leisurely and “economical” walks with one Volvo Penta D4 in 225 hp. and forcing the boat to move at a maximum of 24 knots.
The bow part of the Apreamare case in the form of a deep V is endowed with sharp features. Closer to the stern, swift lines and a pointed nose give way to more rounded curbs with a “flat” bottom in the gozzo style. The waterline of saturated turquoise color only emphasizes all the curves of the hull, and the second parallel line, encircling the boat with the engraving of Gozzo, gives the exterior a majestic look.
In general, the developed body for Gozzo is the real pride of Apreamare, because it has excellent seaworthiness characteristics. Also, the boat showed extremely low fuel consumption figures at cruise speed while providing a sporty drive and a high level of comfort at high speeds.
The low and refined silhouette of the superstructure allows you to view the entire boat from stern to nose. Wide side passageways, and this at a size from side to side 3.36 m, allow you to move comfortably between all zones. White boards and frames of furniture in combination with teak and contrasting turquoise fabric bring real Italian chic to the image of the yacht. The
Rising on the deck of Gozzo, it is simply impossible to ignore the fodder area of incredible size. Apart from the most banal conveniences when boarding, for boat guests it is also an amazing opportunity to enjoy close contact with the sea. The next thing that surprises you is how harmoniously the lines of the classic gozzo, built by Apreamare back in the 60s of the century before last, were harmoniously reproduced. And yet, in the new Gozzo the design of all zones is carefully thought out in accordance with modern requirements. The huge solarium in the aft repeats the semicircular outlines of the hull, and the adjustable back significantly extends the use of the siphada – as a mattress for sunbathing or an extra sofa. The
The post of management is also seriously refined. Very impressive solution in terms of protective windshield. “Panel” can be adjusted in accordance with different weather conditions and folded if necessary. In addition, above this zone stretches bimini top, for those who do not want to have a permanent, non-removable visor – a hardtop.
