Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts announces the launch of the 55m steel superyacht Serena, another hull in the popular 55m Steel FDHF superyacht series.

The exterior of the new yacht was designed by Omega Architects, the naval architecture and the FDHF high-displacement hull belong to Van Oossanen Naval Architects, and the interior spaces were designed by Luca Dini’s Design and Architecture. Their goal was to create a cozy and welcoming interior, which would be comfortable to stay on board for a long time. Particular attention was paid to the height of the seats, the comfort of the sofas and the practicality of luxurious, but easy-to-use materials. Each area of the yacht was designed to enjoy a comfortable rest.

Arcon’s team of experts, who accompanied the construction process, optimized the layout. For example, the atrium, decorated with hand-blown glass by John Pomp and metal lighting, extends over three decks and creates a surreal, magical atmosphere. The interior uses light woods with a special texture, tinted eucalyptus, bronze metal accents, soft fabrics and leather, while amazonite marble patterns add elegant accents.

The main saloon is divided into three zones. A fully equipped bar with bronze-trimmed sliding doors serves both the aft terrace of the main deck and the lounge. The saloon on the upper deck is a place for guests to gather and entertain. It has a bar counter, a games table and comfortable seats for watching movies or reading a book. The beach club, lit by natural light, is decorated in the style of a coastal bungalow.

The sundeck is 110 sq. m. m offers a variety of furniture arrangements for different occasions and enhances the possibilities for hosting a variety of events. The bow seating area is the perfect place to enjoy the views and breeze while cruising.

Serena accommodates 12 guests in five staterooms. The owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck and includes a lounge and study, as well as a spacious full-beam stateroom with access to a private deck, two large his and hers walk-in closets and a large bathroom. The lower deck features four guest staterooms: two doubles with beds arranged transversely for optimal use of space, and two twins with additional Pullman berths. Each stateroom has its own en-suite bathroom, finished in unique marble in different colours.

The bridge deck features a gym that can be easily converted into a stateroom if required. The forward main deck stores a state-of-the-art tender and jet skis, which the crew can easily launch away from guests.

“With the owner’s clear vision for the yacht’s intended use, the Arcon team ensured the customisation ran smoothly. “Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture translated the client’s wishes into a beautiful project,” says Erik Molegraaff, Managing Director of Heesen Yachts.
