Original concept of a two-seater urban electric car from Toyota

Japanese company Toyota presented FT-Me — a compact but spacious electric car less than 2.5 meters long. The new product is a continuation of the Smart and Toyota iQ concepts, but
is made in a modern style. The designers decided to play up the classic confrontation of black and white colors, and bright blue details added playful accents.
FT-Me is quite mobile and offers customizable options for both beginners and professionals. The innovative 360-degree view concept provides maximum visual contact with other road users, increasing safety and maneuverability.
The concept is also equipped with advanced connectivity features to the worldwide network, which allows it to be integrated with smartphones for keyless access and service provision. The FT-Me can be controlled solely by manual commands on the innovative steering wheel, making it also suitable for use by wheelchair users without any additional modifications.
The vehicle is highly recyclable and uses recycled materials, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by 90% compared to current mass-produced vehicles.
The FT-Me’s efficient powertrain consumes three times less energy per kilometre than an electric vehicle with a large capacity battery. In addition, the FT-Me features advanced rooftop solar panel technology that can charge the main battery, adding up to 20-30 km of range per day in urban conditions, easily covering expected daily use.
