The Bolide 170 project from the Victory Design design studio claims to be the fastest superyacht

The Victory Design studio from Naples announced the appearance of a new 50-meter yacht of the Bolide series — Bolide170. This will be the second yacht of this series. The first was the 24-meter Bolide 80, which was built at the Seven Stars shipyard. The 25-meter yacht was immediately nicknamed the “sea hypercar”: with 6,000 hp under the hood, it even goes at a speed of 55 knots in cruising mode, and at maximum it squeezes out 75 or more. In total, the Bolide line, announced two years ago, is planned to include 9 models ranging in length from 18 to 50 meters.
The Neapolitan studio formulates its principle of operation as “Total Design”, that is, it develops not only exteriors and interiors, but also marine architecture and all engineering of each project. Therefore, in Bolide 170, everything is thought out and interconnected, from avant-garde aesthetics with stylistic references to the world of muscle cars to technical nuances. The hull, with all its considerable length of 51 meters, looks like a speedboat – a sharp bow, a minimally raised superstructure, a low stern – and a bright blue color with graphite-gray inserts. It will be made of the most lightweight materials, and in two versions, depending on the choice of engine.
As with the entire Bolide series, this model focuses on fuel economy and emissions reduction, without compromising on performance. The CFD hull testing itself resulted in two patents, and the Victory team promises that the Bolide 170 will have a 50% reduction in fuel consumption per mile compared to yachts of the same length. And the innovative Human-machine interface (HMI), created in collaboration with partner companies Boening and Xenta, will ensure ease and safety of operation.
The open deck areas of the Bolide 170 include several recreation areas: a dining group on the superstructure terrace, sofas and solariums at the bow and stern. Instead of a transom (the garage for tenders and toys was located in the forepeak), it was decided to make a stepped descent to a fixed bathing platform, which has a retractable section for easy entry into the water.
The real decoration of the stern is the intricately shaped swimming pool (by the way, a second one can be made in the bow). Folding sections of the bulwarks in the rear of the hull allow you to increase the area of the beach club by almost a third.
The yacht is designed for 10 passengers, who have four spacious suites and a master apartment at their disposal. The interior layout and design, designed with the participation of the architect Stefano Faggioni, according to the developers themselves, “are designed to emphasize the inimitable style of Made in Italy” – the ergonomics of the living spaces with elements of a “smart home” and finishing from premium materials dispose to dolce far niente in conditions of absolute comfort and elegance. The abundance of carbon and carefully tanned leather are directly borrowed from the design of supercars. In addition, all the furnishings are custom, and the coziness is created by exquisite textiles from Loro Piana.
Brunello Acampora believes that the Bolide 170, like other models in this range, not only pushes the boundaries of yacht engineering, but also represents a value comparable to that of works of art: “These are true collector’s items, made to order, not in series, and each yacht is a unique and exclusive vessel.”
