Ferretti Yachts Infynito 80. Space without borders
The Italian shipyard Ferretti launched the first hull of the Infynito 80 yacht in Ravenna in northern Italy. The world premiere of the yacht is scheduled for September 10-15 this year as part of the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Infynito 80, which debuted at boot Düsseldorf 2024, will join the previously presented Infynito 90 model. These representatives of the new Infynito model range have both similarities and differences, so it is impossible to call the new product simply a smaller copy of the Infynito 90.
The first hull of the 23.70-meter yacht with a width of 6.36 m is being built at the shipyard in Ravenna. In addition to the divisions of the Ferretti Group, Filippo Salvetti, responsible for the exterior, and interior specialists from IdeaeItalia took part in the development of the model. The exterior design is vaguely reminiscent of another Ferretti Group brand, the wallywhy200. However, the Infynito 80 is less futuristic and much more “classic” and elegant.
The shipyard says that the Infynito 80 was designed for sea lovers, and therefore the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces are practically absent. For example, the 18 sq. m.beach club with a large sofa on the transom will be used by guests to relax by the water, and the area in the aft cockpit can be used as a lounge or dining room.In the standard version, the sundeck on the yacht is completely open, but it can be made semi-closed due to optional glass panels. In the shade of the hardtop there is an outdoor dining area, and closer to the stern in the open air there is a solarium with sun loungers and an open kitchen.
The layout of the main deck includes a main saloon with two sofas located face to face, and a TV that slides out of a niche in the ceiling. The professional kitchen occupies the bow of the deck and has a window overlooking the covered terrace.
Of course, the interior layout can be changed according to the wishes of the future owner. For example, the dining area in the saloon in the standard version can be replaced by a stylish open area with a bar counter and high chairs. The kitchen will be located in the bow of the main deck next to the protected “all-season terrace” of 13 sq. m.Here it will be possible to equip a dining room or a bar area.
On the lower deck there are four cabins (master cabin, one VIP cabin and two regular guest cabins) with bathrooms. The crew room is located amidships. The team will be able to accommodate in two separate cabins designed for three people. It can be accessed through the passage on the port side.
The Ferretti Infynito 80 is built according to the Design Category A classification and with the environment in mind. It is equipped with solar panels mounted on the hardtop, as well as a solar energy storage system consisting of 14 high-capacity lithium batteries. There is also a focus on the use of eco-friendly recyclable materials such as bamboo fabrics, regenerated leather, eco-friendly water-based paints and lamellar teak.
The Infynito 80 can be equipped with a pair of MAN V12 engines of varying power. According to preliminary data, with a pair of optional 1,400 hp engines, the Infynito 80 will be able to accelerate to a maximum of 23 knots, while the cruising speed will be 18 knots, and the cruising range will be about 1,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Comfort during movement and at rest is provided by Underway and Zero speed anti-roll stabilizers.
“After the Infynito 90, we have developed a second model in the range with the aim of maintaining the uniqueness of the design and characteristics, but at the same time adding new features suitable for a project of a different size. We are proud to present the Infynito 80 with its protected exterior spaces, allowing owners to enjoy the yacht regardless of the season and weather conditions, but without sacrificing direct contact with the sea, the environment or the sun,” says designer Filippo Salvetti.
