Hybrid catamaran WiderCat 76. Functionality and comfort

The Italian shipyard Wider Yachts continues to work on the first hull of the 23.12-meter hybrid catamaran at the Vision Hub in Fano.
The exterior and interior of the WiderCat 76, like the previously presented 28-meter catamaran WiderCat 92, are the responsibility of the Florentine studio Luca Dini Design & Architecture together with the shipyard’s internal design department Centro Stile. This time, the creative team opted for the so-called “Hamptons” style, influenced by the coastal houses of the East Coast of the United States, which served as summer residences for wealthy New Yorkers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The style is characterized by light and neutral shades, natural materials (wood, marble, natural stone), “coastal” aesthetics of decorative elements, large windows and many open living spaces.
The WiderCat 76 features large windows and an abundance of exterior areas, including a dining room and lounge under suspended awnings on the sundeck, a seating area in the cockpit on the main deck and a lounge with two C-shaped sofas on the foredeck.
The new catamaran will be able to comfortably accommodate eight guests and a crew of four. To create an elegant and relaxed atmosphere of a house on the water, a neutral shade of ivory was chosen as the main color for the walls, a contrasting natural dark oak for the ceiling, and a cozy herringbone parquet for the floor.
The master cabin, located on the main deck, has access to a private terrace, but you can admire the sea even from the bathroom, which also has a window.
For guests to gather and relax in the main salon of the WiderCat 76, there is a large living room with a corner sofa and a dining area opposite, and in the left hull, one level below, there is a spacious kitchen and a dining area where you can not only have a snack, but also chat while cooking.
The catamaran will be powered by a hybrid installation of two FPT engines of 456 kW each and a battery pack with the latest power management system, which will provide the catamaran a maximum speed of 13 knots and up to 9 hours of comfortable and quiet rest at anchor with the engines turned off.
WiderCat 76 has the charm of a superyacht and the maneuverability of a small vessel thanks to a skillful combination of design, technology and craftsmanship. The creators are so convinced of its irresistibility that they have decided to build the first hull at their own expense and are absolutely sure that the catamaran will touch the water next year.
