Astondoa 377. The amazing is nearby

Astondoa 377 Coupe Outboard is a version of Astondoa 377 Coupe, differing only in powerful outboards on the stern. This boat is open, the so-called weekender, but the shipyard calls it Coupe.Perhaps we should expect the appearance of another modification with a superstructure.
Regardless of the type of engines, this model is currently the youngest not only in the Coupe line, but also in the shipyard in general.Astondoa 377 Coupe appeared after the 655 Coupe model, when it became clear that many were interested in a more compact version for daytime walks. The Astondoa 377 Coupe attracts attention with its contrasting T-top on powerful pillars, the absence of rails and extended sides, which visually increase the length and, in fact, the volume of the hull, as well as the side glazing line.
The fixed aft platform of the 377 Coupe is quite large, and even with outboard motors there is enough space for swimming. Behind it there is a high and wide sunbed for three, under which water toys, fenders or mooring lines are stored. The sunbed is raised by a servo motor, opening access to the engine compartment; in the version with outboard motors there is enough space for optional equipment.
The cockpit has two sofas with reversible backrests and a folding table between them.If you lower the table and put soft cushions on it, you get a spacious sun lounger.Closer to the bow of the deck there is a wet bar.In addition to the sink and refrigerator (65 l), it is possible to add an induction hob and grill.
The steering console behind the one-piece windshield-screen is wide, in front of it there are three chairs with lateral support and massive bolsters. On such a console, the control post is freely located, including a leather steering wheel, handles, a joystick, buttons for initiating systems and devices, two multifunctional displays (chart plotters), a Volvo Penta on-board computer, etc. For the modification with outboard motors, its own components are provided, equivalent in function. The T-top covers this area and also provides shade over the wet bar and the aft sofa.
From the steering console down to the cabins there is a light ladder – a metal beam with wooden steps. There are two cabins: one in the bow with a double bed, and two in the central part of the deck, with two separate beds. A large hatch in the bow cabin provides good ventilation and can be used as an emergency exit, and the light is provided by LED strips in the ceiling and side glazing. Nearby is a bathroom with a washbasin, electric toilet and shower.
Since the Astondoa 377 Coupe Outboard is a weekender, it is intended primarily for short trips and good weather. Therefore, in the current specification, the 377 Coupe modification has quite a few engine options to suit any wishes of future owners. These are twin diesel Volvo Penta D4-280 with 280 hp, D4-300, D4-320 and D4-380, all with DPI columns, as well as gasoline Volvo Penta V8-300 with DPS columns. The Open modification has a “triad” of Yamaha XF 400 V8 with 400 hp and Yamaha XF450 V8 with 450 hp. To improve seaworthiness, the designers chose fiberglass hull contours with a deadrise at the transom of 21° – almost a “deep V”. Also worth noting is the powerful cheekbone and four pairs of longitudinal chines, which is even excessive for a high-speed planing boat. And it really is high-speed. The specification indicates 36 knots, although without reference to the power and type of engines, and this is worth looking into.
Relatively recently, these large open center console weekenders were a rarity on the market, but now this growing segment has become quite popular. They attract people who prefer coastal sailing in sunny weather on weekends to long cruises in difficult conditions. Cabins are designed for “casual” overnight stays, not for week-long stays on board. And the main thing is speed, adrenaline, the thrill of the wind in your face.
