Seawolf X by Rossinavi: a catamaran with artificial intelligence

Share:

In October of this year, the Rossinavi shipyard presented its hybrid catamaran Seawolf X. This is not only the shipyard’s first hybrid, but also its first catamaran. Before this, Rossinavi produced mainly monohulls. Seawolf X has an all-aluminum hull, is equipped with batteries, electric motors, solar panels and diesel generators. In addition, this is the first vessel equipped with an AI (artificial intelligence) system. This on-board system is able to analyze and adjust equipment, as well as monitor emissions levels, has the ability to monitor battery charge, providing data on the state of the batteries to the crew. One of the unique features of the system is its ability to predict customer preferences and inform the skipper and crew about them. In the event of a malfunction, the AI system can take over control, which increases the safety and reliability of using the yacht.

The fully custom 43m yacht represents the pinnacle of contemporary design and sustainability, featuring exterior design and architecture by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and interiors by New York-based Meyer Davis Studio.

Seawolf X’s exterior spaces are divided into three distinct zones: a cosy cockpit with a swimming pool, a spacious sundeck with seating and sunbathing areas, and an unusual foredeck with a hidden swimming pool and transformable home cinema.

Main Deck

The 80 sqm main saloon is a spacious area designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The space is divided into a lounge area and a spacious dining area with ample seating. It is the perfect place to enjoy quiet moments while admiring the panoramic sea views.

Also on the main deck, on the same level as the saloon, is the huge 70 sqm owner’s cabin with a skylight that enhances the natural light, a walk-in closet and a private gym. The cabin also offers direct access to the covered mooring area, which can be transformed into a private terrace, providing both privacy and exclusivity. In addition, the terrace has separate, independent access for the crew.

The cockpit on the main deck is centered around a stunning swimming pool and is a common area. It features two adjacent living areas and a large dining table, making it ideal for al fresco dining and gatherings with an emphasis on comfortable outdoor living.

The Sundeck – an expansive 130 sqm sundeck is designed for relaxation and socialising, with a sunbathing area, shaded seating area and a large bar. It also includes a screen for the onboard infotainment system, integrated with the new Rossinavi AI system. The Sundeck is equipped with 202 individual solar panels covering 156 sqm, reflecting the commitment to sustainability and clean energy without compromising the environment.

Lower Deck

The yacht’s two hulls are connected by a complex structural network, providing stability, smooth navigation and a sleek profile that contributes to exceptional performance. The lower deck is divided into two symmetrical watertight hulls, enhancing guests’ privacy. Each hull has one double cabin and one twin cabin with Pullman beds, providing flexibility and comfort for all guests.

The private beach club is located at the rear of the deck. This quiet oasis at sea level is equipped with a swimming pool and sauna, offering a luxurious environment for sunbathing, swimming or simply enjoying the sea breeze. The outdoor area seamlessly connects with the surrounding space, creating the perfect relaxation area.

Interestingly, the shipyard has thought through several operating scenarios for the new vessel. In case of one-day excursions, the catamaran operates in a fully electric mode. For longer multi-day cruises, the electric mode accounts for up to 90% of the time, and for transatlantic crossings this figure drops to 80%.

In the “sleep mode” of hibernation, for example, when the catamaran is moored and resource consumption is reduced to a minimum, the energy generated can be transferred to the berth or a private home. According to the shipyard, Seawolf X can more than cover the needs of an entire villa.
