WiLder 60. Supercar on the water

The Italian shipyard Wider, specializing in the production of multi-hull vessels, or more precisely, catamarans with hybrid power plants, decided to unleash their soul in the project of a high-speed cruiser. The letter L was added to the brand name and a new name was received – WiLder and new prospects in the creation of high-speed boats.
WiLder 60 is built entirely of aluminum and has a shallow draft of 1.11 m. The manufacturers assure that the boat behaves perfectly on the water in any weather conditions and is stable, does not make noise and does not vibrate.
With a length of 18.9 m and a width of 5.43 m, WiLder 60 has both expansive exterior areas and luxurious interior spaces. With such rather modest dimensions, the yacht looks elegant and expensive. A slightly angular wheelhouse, a futuristic bow with an inverted slope, a classic reverse fairing – all this forms the exterior in the style of a modern classic with a hint of Gran Turismo.
Supercar elements – intake openings in the engine compartment, a wide rear part with a low bottom – hint at power and balance. Although the profile is low, there is a lot of space inside.
On the deck there are two cockpits, similar in size and layout. The spacious bow is occupied by two sofas placed opposite each other. A table can be installed between them. The space at the stern above the bathing platform is occupied by a wide chaise longue, in front of it under the hardtop there is a dining group of two sofas with a table, a bar and a side chaise longue.
The control post with two leather chairs is made in a modern style. The attention is drawn to the dashboard with three Garmin touch screens. The steering wheel with futuristic spokes and a rim finished in red vinyl to match the seats looks impressive.
The layout of the lower deck includes a spacious master cabin with a bathroom in the bow, two guest cabins aft, a shared bathroom with a shower, and a saloon with a galley. At the customer’s request, one of the cabins can be converted into a crew area.
The lighting on board is well thought out: there is both natural and artificial. The materials used in the interior are distinguished by a complex, rich texture. The sink in the master cabin bathroom is made in the form of a ribbed bowl made of gray crystal. Black faucets contrast with the white glossy wall covering. The front wall in the saloon of the first hull seems scratched – the deliberate roughness of the hand finishing only emphasizes the texture of the stone and leather.
The first hull is built with inboard engines. A pair of MAN V8 with a capacity of 1300 hp. with. each connected to semi-submersible propellers, which provides the WiLder 60 with a maximum speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots with a cruising range of 240 nautical miles. Bow and stern thrusters, a dynamic positioning system and two Quick MC2 X19 stabilizers (optional) are responsible for a stable ride, no pitching and maneuvering in busy marinas.
In September last year, the WiLder 60 project was presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival with four Mercury Verado 600 outboard motors, which accelerate this cruiser to the same 40 knots.
